“Not Letting Go” is a new original single by Elizabeth South. She wrote this song that captures the expression of her heart in believing in perseverance. She pours out her heart as she expresses the sentiment of not giving up on life, dreams, and faith. She co-wrote the song in Franklin, TN at Dark Horse studios with Billy Smiley.
Musicians: Elizabeth South – lead vocal and background vocals; Steve Brewster – drums; Blair Masters – Keyboards; Billy Smiley – guitar; Jonathan Crone – electric guitar and mixing engineer.
It was purely by accident that the title is a twist of “Not Letting Go” as opposed to Elizabeth’s single cover of Frozen’s “Let It Go”. She starting writing the song from her heart and those are the words that came out naturally. Elizabeth explains her feelings about it in the “Outtakes” at the end of the music video. This video is a Behind the Scenes Music Video filmed on location when Elizabeth wrote and recorded the song last summer (August 4, 2016) at Dark Horse Recording studio in Franklin, TN where a number of major artists such as Taylor Swift have recorded. There are also scenes in Nashville, Tennessee. Watch until the end for more behind the scenes Outtakes and going deeper into the writing/recording process.
